Installation

The Closets by Liberty™ systems are designed to be assembled and installed in just one afternoon. You’ll find that the initial tower and drawer build will take longer as you learn the process for the first time. You will move more quickly through each additional tower and drawer.

No need to call in a favor or hire a handyman! You just need one person to assemble and install this system. The floor-based system eliminates the need for heavy lifting and moveable brackets make it less stressful to find a stud.

To assemble all components of your new closet system, you will only need a Phillips head screwdriver. When you move on to installation you’ll want to grab a stud finder, level, drill, safety glasses, and a pencil. These additional tools will help you securely attach the closet system to the wall.

To reduce the risk of tip-over and create a safer closet, the system features built-in ASTM F2057-19 compliant anti-tip brackets that must be secured to the wall to prevent tipping. Anti-tip brackets are designed to move across the stabilizer bar to stud location, however, if no stud is available self-drilling drywall anchors are provided. Our recommendation is to attach at least one anti-tip bracket per tower to a stud.

The horizontal frame header has screw holes for your clothes rod brackets. The frame footer does not. Please make sure the frame header is installed at the top of your unit and not the bottom. These two parts look very similar.

The outside measurements are taken from the exterior edge of the left side of the frame to the exterior edge of the right side of the frame in a tower.

Pushing specifically on the bottom front corners of the drawer usually solves this. If that doesn't work, then check to see if a screw is not tightened down all the way (this can interfere with the slide clip that is installed on the bottom of the drawer).

The closet tower framework is crafted of high-strength aluminum for safety and durability. The drawers are crafted from a strong engineered wood product. The shelves are constructed in a durable honeycomb design. All elements are finished in a timeless, classic white finish.

We chose aluminum for its strength and durability as the foundation of your closet system. Additionally, the decorative channels and curves built into the aluminum verticals are designed to alleviate bowing and bending over time and flexing of the system framework when properly installed.

Each tower can support up to 200lbs, allowing you to fill your closet with confidence. Every shelf can support up to 60lbs and each drawer can support up to 50lbs. This system features many beautiful design details that create a custom built-in look. Hidden channels along the interior ensure that you don’t see unsightly peg holes. Stylish covers for the top stabilizer bars feature crown molding and beveled edges. You’ll also receive decorative hardware in our Satin Chrome finish, matching your rods.

Care should be given to the cleaning of this product. Although its finish is extremely durable, it can be damaged by harsh abrasives or chemicals. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft lint-free cloth immediately. Never spray directly onto the surface, instead, spray onto the cloth. Avoid using cleaners that contain ammonia, vinegar, acid or alkali.

The closet tower framing is made from high-strength aluminum. The drawers are crafted from an engineered wood product. For the shelves, we choose durable honeycomb with MDF edging for shelves that are easier to move, but stand up to everyday use.

We’ve constructed our closets from both high-strength aluminum and sturdy honeycomb to provide the stability and durability a closet requires. Each tower supports 200 lbs. when properly installed.
Customization

This system is meant to be customized at every step of the process. Customization starts with choosing the right system and accessories for your closet size. As you install the system, continue to customize to your needs by placing accessories in locations that best fit your items to be stored. The drawers, hanging rods, and shelves can move up and down within each tower, as well as left and right from tower to tower. Customization doesn’t end with installation! The system is customizable throughout the lifetime of use. Adapt and adjust your towers to fit your needs as they change time and time again.

You can rearrange your system and move accessories as many times as you wish. Tools are not required to adjust shelves, drawers, and rods, making it flexible and simple for one person.

Reclaim every inch of space in your closet! You’ll love that there are no barriers between towers, allowing for horizontal storage of long or bulky items.

Yes, we sell single towers. You can also purchase an additional closet system to add onto your current closet.

Accessories are available to purchase online. You can add additional drawers (deep or shallow) or shelves (with or without a hanging rod) to your standard 2-foot tower sections.

Additional shelves, drawers and rods are available to purchase online. The 24” accessories will fit all systems. Simply lock into place the same way that you did the original pieces. Please note the 48” spannable shelf will only fit in systems where the 48” spannable top shelf is in place.
